Watch out the video using the link Click Here

QUERY :

125g of lye and 228g of water has been measured and the soap was prepared. White layer was formed above the soap. This problem was faced only during winter season. If water content is increased or decreased, can we overcome this problem?

SOLUTION:

Soda ash is the thick white layer that is formed over the soap. Soda ash is nothing but sodium carbonate. The main reason for this formation is due to heaviness of lye solution. For clear understanding, let me explain with an example.

Example:

The soap that is shown above is an example for soda ash deposited soap. When that soap is taken in hand, it has flaky white layer deposit over the soap. It falls off when we scratch it with our hand. This is mainly because of more amount of lye.

CUSTOMER SOAP :

Theimage shown by our customer does not have that much thick layer. Only very light layer is seen. The reason for the formation of light layer happens while pouring the trace. If the soap solution prepared is very thin, it result in the deposition of soda ash. In order to avoid soda ash deposition, make the soap solution thick and then pour it for tracing. You can get a better result. The measurement of lye and water solution taken by the customer is absolutely correct. Either water content or heaviness of lye does not influence the formation of white layer in this case. The notable thing is while pouring the trace, it should be thick. That's it.

Hope the clarification sounds good for the query that has been raised. Be in tune with our website www.suppliersociety.in to customize the recipes according to your wish. We provide all the raw materials for soaping too..
