A good moisturizer is the foundation of a healthy and hydrated skin. All of these things are important if you want to make sure to look as young as you can in the years to come. With so many options available, choosing a moisturizing cream that works for you may be confusing. From herbal options, to rich with Vitamin E or aloe vera to the goodness of creamy coconuts - these creams come loaded with many ingredients.

Normal to dry skin needs creamy moisture while a combination or oily skin needs a light, non-greasy one. Lets see our requirements for the preparation.

A) Distilled water – 25g

B) Glycerin - 5g

A) Butter – 5g

B) Essential oil – 15g

3. E-WAX – 10 g

Visit to get all these requirements.

Distilled water is taken. Even many plant extracts (aloe vera/ tulsi) are also used instead of distilled water. But using plant extracts may lead to contaminations .So 75g of distilled water is taken in a sterile beaker. 5g of glycerin is added to the distilled water.(Honey can also be used instead of glycerin). It is well mixed and kept aside. The water phase is ready.

[Note : As soap making is a hot process, the compound whatever we are using should be non-volatile i.e., should not evaporate

Butter can be taken of our own choice.I had taken 5g of shea butter in a beaker. Add 5g of Pomace olive oil and 10g of coconut oil to the butter.Next weigh 10g of E wax and add it in the same beaker, The quantity of E wax varies according to the thickness of the cream. The oil phase is also ready.

Now both water and oil phase are placed in water bath and heated for 10-15min.Both the phases are melted after heating. Next add water phase in oil phase and stir it well. Blender can also be used for mixing purpose. After mixing keep it aside for cooling. After reaching the room temperature only, we can add fragrance and essential oil because both are volatile in nature. It also leads to fast tracing if added before. The cream is now ready for application.
